Asphalt tanker crash blocks northeast Ohio highway
MEDINA, Ohio (AP) — A tanker truck carrying asphalt has crashed and spilled its load in northeast Ohio, blocking a state highway.
Authorities say the accident occurred Wednesday morning along state Route 3 south of Cleveland, in Montville Township in Medina County.
The tanker truck wound up on its side, and authorities warned the highway could be closed for much of the day. The highway connects Medina and Wooster.
WEWS-TVĀ reports a hazardous materials response crew joined police at the scene.
There was no immediate word on any injuries.
