VICK

Vernon Arthur Vick, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in Madison County Hospital, London.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1921, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of Otto Frederick and Lydia Emma (Pestel) Vick.

A graduate of the Ohio State University in 1948.

He had served in England during World War II as a pilot on a B-17. His career in aviation included instruction at Don Scott Field, OSU charter work and his own Aerial Agricultural business. He was also a farmer in Madison County.

Survivors include his wife, Ann M. (Hymrod) Vick; sons, Vernon A. II “Joe” (Hortense McGhee) Vick and Timothy John Vick.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions in Mr. Vick’s name to the Mechanicsburg Public Library, 60 S. Main St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044.

The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, Ohio.
