Wednesday, Dec. 19
A 2006 Ford Taurus belonging to Marilyn R. Bowsher, 123 N. Madison Road, Apt. A, Mt. Sterling, was parked in an alley off North Madison Road in the village at 8:57 a.m. when it was struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene. The Taurus suffered minor damage.
Saturday, Jan. 12
Jeffery B. Patterson, 8760 Gerich Lilly Road, West Jefferson, was southbound on Plain City-Georgesville Road in Jefferson Township at 3:42 a.m. when the 2003 Ford Expedition he was driving ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The Ford was heavily damaged. Patterson was cited for failure to control the vehicle.
Friday, Jan. 25
Ty R. Blake, 3000 Trensa Drive, London, was southbound on West Choctaw Drive in the Choctaw Lake Subdivision at 10:15 a.m. in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler when he veered left of center and sideswiped a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by James E. Weimer, 1920 Yuma Drive. The Chrysler ran off the right side of the road, striking a row of mailboxes. Both vehicles were moderately damaged. Blake was cited for failure to control his Jeep.
Paula M. Planck, 134 Reed St., Milford Center, was westbound on state Route 161 in Darby Township at 11:40 a.m. when she lost control of the 1999 Pontiac Sunfire she was driving on snow-covered pavement and slid across the road into a guardrail. The Sunfire was heavily damaged.
Carl R. Adams, 11681 Wyandotte Road, Stoutsville, was eastbound on state Route 323 in Stokes Township at 5:20 p.m. when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet truck on a curve and veered onto Charleston-Chillicothe Road, striking a road sign. The truck sustained minor damage.
Cindy L. Kennedy, 2084 state Route 56 SW, London, was southbound on state Route 56 in Somerford Township at 9 a.m. when she lost control of the 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 she was driving on icy pavement and ran off the road at the state Route 187 intersection, striking a wood fence. The truck was heavily damaged.
Monday, Jan. 28
A resident of Old U.S. Route 40 NW, London, reported at 6:45 p.m. that someone entered her home through a garage door, but took nothing. The incident took place sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Jan. 28.
A resident of Mechanicsburg-Sanford Road near London reported at 11 p.m. that someone kicked in the back door of the home and rifled drawers and closets. However, nothing appeared to be missing. The incident took place sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 28.
John P. Masters Jr., 45 Willowood Lane, London, was northbound on Arthur Bradley Road in Monroe Township at 3:30 a.m. when the 1999 Dodge Durango he was driving ran off the right side of the road and struck a fence and concrete post. The Dodge was heavily damaged. Masters was cited for failure to control the vehicle.
Benjamine P. Fifer, 12418 state Route 316 West, Williamsport, was southbound on state Route 56 in Oak Run Township at 6:35 a.m. when the 1999 Hyundai hatchback he was driving struck a deer in the roadway. The Hyundai was heavily damaged.
Tuesday, Jan. 29
Kile Thomas Cochran, 6970 Fayette Drive, West Jefferson, was westbound on Taylor-Blair Road in Jefferson Township at 8:03 a.m. when he lost control of the 1995 Plymouth he was driving and ran off the roadway, striking a culvert and rolling the vehicle over. The Plymouth was heavily damaged. Cochran was cited for failure to control.
A resident of Grewell Road reported at 6:45 p.m. that someone burglarized her home and took jewelry valued at $8,529. The incident took place sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 29.
Thursday, Jan. 31
A resident of West Columbus Street in Mt. Sterling reported at 4:40 p.m. that someone tried to break into his home. However, nothing appeared to be missing. The incident took place sometime between 5 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 31.
A resident of First Street in Mt. Sterling reported at 4:20 p.m. that someone removed a pallet of lumber valued at $256 from a construction site on Robison Road near the village. The lumber disappeared sometime between 7 p.m. on Jan. 20 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 31.
A resident of Yankeetown-Chenoweth Road near Mt. Sterling reported at 6:30 p.m. that someone broke into a neighbor’s house and removed $9,300 in jewelry. The incident took place sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 31.
James S. Musunuri, 1965 Rosedale-Plain City Road, Irwin, was southbound on Finley-Guy Road in Monroe Township at 8:55 p.m. when he lost control of his 2000 Saturn sedan and struck a northbound 2007 Dodge truck driven by Michel L. Grand, 9715 Irwin Road, Irwin. The Saturn was heavily damaged. The truck was moderately damaged.
Ryan A. Trimble, 8244 Community Road, Plain City, was turning a 1999 Dodge truck from Canaan Boulevard onto Genesis Avenue in the Canaan Community Mobile Home Park at 2:20 p.m. when he struck a 1996 Dodge driven by Mary Lou Morris, 218 Cross St., Unionville Center, that was stopped on Genesis Avenue. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Friday, Feb. 1
A resident of McGuire Road near London reported at 8:57 a.m. that someone broke into his barn and removed a Honda motorcycle valued at $500. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Jan. 31 and 6 a.m. on Feb. 1.
A 1998 Dodge Ram driven by Cody Michael Pitts, 149 Lincoln St., Apt. A, West Jefferson, was backing in the driveway of 5380 state Route 38 NW, in Monroe Township at 5 a.m. when it struck a 2011 Nissan Rogue belonging to Julie M. Self, 6200 Junk Road, Mt. Sterling. Pitts left the scene, but was located later. The truck was not damaged. The Rogue was moderately damaged.
Naomy Gndungu, 2270 Rosedale Road, Irwin, was southbound on Rosedale-Milford Center Road in Monroe Township at 6:40 a.m. when she lost control of her 2011 Toyota Echo on icy pavement and slid off the road, striking a guardrail and telephone pole.
The Toyota was heavily damaged.
Saturday, Feb. 2
An employee of TravelCenters of America, 940 U.S. Route 42 NE, reported at 2:10 a.m. that an unknown man wearing a black jacket, green hat and Timberland boots removed a knife valued at $18 from a display case at the business. The incident occurred about 2 a.m. on Feb. 2.
Matthew A. Rowe, 9675 Iams Road, Plain City, was westbound on Arthur Bradley Road in Monroe Township at 10:15 p.m. when the 1999 Plymouth mini-van he was driving struck a miniature horse in the roadway. The Plymouth was heavily damaged.
Sunday, Feb. 3
A resident of Fifth Street in Mt. Sterling reported at 6:20 p.m. that someone damaged the left front quarter and hood of his 2002 Chevrolet pick-up while the vehicle was parked at his home.
The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 3.
Monday, Feb. 4
A resident of Richmond Avenue in London reported at 4:30 p.m. that someone removed $5,000 in batteries and equipment from his farm trucks while they were parked on Danville Road. The incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. on Jan. 29 and noon on Feb. 2.
Friday, Feb. 8
A resident of Selsor-Moon Road near South Solon reported at 5:24 p.m. that someone broke into her home through a rear door and removed jewelry and guns valued at $1,075.
The incident occurred sometime between 8:25 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 8.
