Plain City to hire La Fayette as village solicitor

Eamon Costello’s successor has been named.
Plain City Village Council voted Monday night to hire Paul-Michael La Fayette, Esq. as the new village solicitor for Plain City.
Costello will step down from the position at the end of February.
La Fayette, a 1996 graduate of Capital University Law School, is licensed before all state and federal courts in Ohio, Florida, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to his resume, La Fayette has served as a staff attorney for the Ohio Supreme Court and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Court of Claims Defense Section.
La Fayette has worked extensively with the Ohio Dental Association, having lobbied on health care issues, and law reform. He’s been a featured speaker at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, regularly lecturing on issues of denial risk and malpractice.
La Fayette is with the Poling Law firm, 300 E. Broad St., in Columbus.
La Fayette lives just outside Plain City in Jerome Township.
