Local quartet offering singing Valentines
For The Madison Press
They’ll be saying “I love you” in song during the afternoon and early evening hours this Valentine’s Day (Thursday, February 14) — and they’ll be leaving quite a few sweethearts speechless.
For the second year in a row, the Music Men of London Barbershop Quartet will deliver Singing Valentines to surprised special sweethearts. Listen for the sound of harmony in offices, factories, schools, and homes throughout the London area. Wherever they appear, they’ll draw a crowd — and perhaps even a few tears.
The price of a Singing Valentine is $35 and includes two songs sung in barbershop harmony, a rose, a picture taken with the quartet and a memory to last a lifetime. Men and women alike are eligible to be on the receiving end; often with moving results. All proceeds will go to the Presbyterian Women’s Fund. An order form can be downloaded at http://musicmenoflondon.webs.com/singvalorder.pdf. Order forms and payment need to be returned to the office of the First Presbyterian Church of London (Garfield Avenue) by Monday, February 11.
