CAUDY

Richard Steven Caudy, known to all as “Steve,” 62, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at home with his family at his side after a short battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 25, 1950, in Washington Court House, son of Richard L. and Norma Jean (McNamer) Caudy.

Steve was a 1969 graduate of Mt. Sterling High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Caudy.

Survived by mother, Norma Jean Caudy; loving wife of 34 years, Cheryl (Sines) Caudy; daughter, Stephanie Caudy; son, Aaron Caudy; granddaughter and apple of his eyes, Aubrey; brother, Timothy Caudy; father-in-law, Carroll Sines; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda (Norm) O’Connor, Steve (Ruth) Sines, Mike (Diane) Sines, Patty (Raymond) Strait, and Lannette Smith; 12 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Betty Webb; uncle, Ned McNamer; many cousins; very special friends, Johnny Newton, Ty Dean, J.T. Jacobs, Gary Reiterman, Mike Williams, along with many other friends.

Family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at THE PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. Interment will be at Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in honor of Steve at Chase Bank of Mt. Sterling for a college fund for “Papa’s girl.”
