1 person wounded in central Ohio police shooting
COLUMBUS (AP) — Authorities say a central Ohio police officer shot and wounded a suspect overnight.
It happened at about 3:30 a.m. Friday on the west side of Columbus. Police said 28-year-old Anthony Trussell was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was reported in stable condition.
Police said Trussell was stopped while riding a scooter and ran away when the officer tried to arrest him for having an outstanding felony warrant. He hid in a shed and was shot during a subsequent confrontation with an officer.
Police are still investigating.
