Woman gets year for dealing drugs

The London woman convicted in December of trafficking the prescription painkiller Percocet (Oxycodone) on May 25, 2012, will serve a year in prison.
A jury found Jessie M. Leming, 21, guilty of dealing the drug in the vicinity of a child — a third-degree felony.
Prior to Tuesday’s sentencing, Madison County Common Pleas Judge Robert D. Nichols noted Leming rejected a plea bargain offered by the county prosecutor’s office. She elected instead to take her chances at trial.
If accepted, that plea bargain removed language involving the child and reduced the charge to a fourth-degree felony.
Nichols said that rejection, coupled with accusations Leming was involved in other illicit drug transactions, demanded prison time. Others convicted of similar crimes received similar sentences.
The judge said he will take no position on the woman’s early release.
Leming was one of 28 current and former Madison County residents netted in a Sept. 14, 2012 “sweep” of suspected drug dealers by the local drug task force.
Many of those arrested named Richard Dale George Jr., 36, a former resident of the Green Meadows Mobile Home Park in Monroe Township, as the source of their drugs. George stole the drugs in August from a Mechanicsburg pharmacy and is currently serving prison time for that break-in.
On Tuesday, Leming apologized for her actions and admitted George provided the Percocet she trafficked.
Also on Tuesday, Bruce Coy, 36, of Washington Court House, was sentenced to 60 days of house arrest and two years of community control for stealing $1,900 in items from his wife’s relatives in July and August last year.
He was also ordered to repay the victims over the next two years.
Coy’s wife, Courtney, 30, is a co-defendant in the theft case. Both pleaded guilty to theft in December.
Coy, an admitted heroin addict, told Nichols he is currently enrolled in a Fayette County drug treatment program.
I am so glad this trashbag is off the streets for at least a short time. The city of London (and Madison county in general), is rife with drug sodden sluts and their bastard children, and the “men” who inseminate them. Madison County Hospital has become a repository of pill seekers and addicts looking to get their fix off the taxpayers’ dime…many who are not residents here, but trash that has blown in from Washington Courthouse and surrounding dumps. At the very least, welfare recipients should be drug tested and given the Depo shot (if female) to keep them from spreading like cancer. If this doesn’t work, scrape out their goodies like a pumpkin with an ice cream scoop. The daddies should just be castrated. How about this? Let’s give all these freeloading druggies as much heroin as they wish. Let them overdose and incinerate them. By being made into fertilizer, they can finally contribute something of value to the rest of society!
