A West Jefferson man was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday for taking and possessing nude photos of underage girls in February and May last year.

Corey Wilson, 21, formerly of 916 Kirkwood Drive, pleaded guilty in Madison County Common Pleas Court in December to two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, stemming from incidents on Feb. 13 and May 10, 2012. One count involved pictures distributed via a cell phone, increasing potential penalties.

In addition to the prison time, Wilson must register as a Tier 2 sex offender and report his whereabouts to authorities for the next 25 years.

Although Wilson was eligible for community control, Judge Robert D. Nichols said the man showed tendencies of a sexual predator. As a 14-year-old, Wilson was convicted of raping a 6-year-old girl and served a stint in a Miami County juvenile rehabilitation facility.

As West Jefferson police investigated the 2012 incidents, Wilson moved to Galveston, Texas in an apparent attempt to avoid prosecution. While in Texas, he was suspected of improper activities with underage girls, assistant county prosecutor Eamon Costello said.

Wilson was arrested in Texas in October and returned to Madison County after losing an extradition fight.

He will get credit for jail time served in Texas and Ohio.

• Also on Thursday, Cinda Lou Storm, 50, 2187 Middlehurst Drive, Columbus, was sentenced to three years of community control for selling cocaine and the prescription painkiller Vicodin to a confidential police informant in June and July last year. Storm was living in London at the time.

She pleaded guilty in December to dealing Vicodin on June 26 and cocaine on July 3 and July 11.

Storm was arrested in September, following months of undercover investigation by the Madison County Drug Task Force. She is currently on probation in Franklin County for a theft conviction and is undergoing counseling for mental health problems, defense attorney Fred Ballam said.

  1. Not enough

What a shame this woman only got community control for selling drugs. She deserves so much more for ruining lives and families. She will answer to God someday.
