Rev. Doris Eileen (Houser) Darst, 75, of West Jefferson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

She was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Frankfort, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roger and Edith Houser.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma.Doris was loved by many. She was known for her generosity by helping anyone in need. She was a great encourager and amazing piano player. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Doris is survived by four children, Jerry A. (Tammy) Darst, Stacey (Sheryl) Darst, Angie (Gordon) Williams, and Sherry (Joe) Ferguson; 14 grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Jennifer, A.J., Matthew, Heather, Tony, Jared, Chauna, John, James, Micaelah, Skylar, and Jake; seven great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Donna, Bob, Joe, Jeanne, Dickey, Shirley, and Cecil; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry T. Darst in 2012; brothers, Raymond and Johnny.

Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013. Burial will follow in Muhlenberg Township Cemetery, Williamsport.
