Lois E. “Bunny” (Ripley) Toops, 72, of London, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in Doctors Hospital West, Columbus.

Born March 24, 1940, in London, she was a daughter of Pleasant and Martha (French) Ripley.

Lois had worked in health care most of her life retiring in 2001 from Madison County Hospital as an activity therapist. Formerly she had belonged to a local bowling league and was past president of the Madison Rural PTA.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Raymond E. Toops Sr.; children, Ray E. (Cathy) Toops Jr. of Marysville, Roger E. (Laura) Toops of London, Lori Toops-Ramirez of London, Richard E. Toops of London and Robbie E. (Morgan) Toops of South Charleston; grandchildren, Tr0y (Chelsea), Kyle, Jacob, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Anthony Toops, Deeanna Haynes, Lucas, Hayden, Jared, Brianna, Ryan and Mitchell Toops; brother, Gary (Sue) Ripley of London; numerous nieces and nephews; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends.

Preceding her on death were her parents; brothers, Robert Edwards, Junior Edwards, Ronald Ripley and Larry D. Ripley; and sisters, Phyllis (Edwards) McClaskie and Rosalyn (Ripley) Huff.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Reverend William Crowe will be officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19.

If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to either the Central Ohio Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

    lois was a really wonderful person i knew her all of my life. you will be greatly missed god called you home and i know that i will see you again. lori, roger, ray, raymond, robbie and dick so sorry for your loss. bunny was an sweet angel i will miss her dearly
