James Matthew Myers, 51, of Plain City, passed away Friday evening, Dec. 7, 2012, at the OSU Medical Center.

Born Aug. 5, 1961, in Grove City.

Manager, staging, set, fabrication at Live! Technologies for 25 years.

He was an interesting guy: wicked funny, very artistic, graceful and speedy snowboarder, excellent chef, hunter, and golfer. We really liked him.

Jim attended CCAD and graduated from Grove City High School in 1979.

Preceded in death by his father, Robert Myers; and a sister.

Survived by his happily married wife of over 23 years, Peggy (McBride) Myers; children he adored, Emily Myers and Jared Myers; mother, Mildred (Hill) Myers; siblings, Griff (Dale) Rausch, Bobbie (Ron) Kipp, Carol Beth Ingall, Bonnie (Fred) Teed, Jeffrey Myers, Robert (Charlene) Myers and Maili (Jim) Luckie; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Barb McBride.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Plain City United Methodist Church, 202 N. Chillicothe St., Plain City, where the Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, immediately following the visitation. Pastor Blaine Keene will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Becca Mead Scholarship Fund, C/O Live! Technologies, 3445 Millenium Court, Columbus, OH 43219 or the Plain City United Methodist Church, 202 E. Main St., Plain City, OH 43064.
