ABERNATHY

Terry D. Abernathy, 55, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.

He was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Westfall High School.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Mary Frances (Stage) Abernathy.

He is survived by wife, Billie Jo; daughters, Terra and Bridget; brothers, Gene and Don Abernathy; sister, Theresa Abernathy; half-sisters, Joanne Elliott and Sara Bucy.

Terry loved the outdoors. He especially loved fishing, hunting and looking for Indian arrowheads.

A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross will be officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. In keeping with Terry’s wishes, cremation has been requested.
