WILSON SR.

Nova L. Wilson Sr., 69, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, from a brief illness.

He was born in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Lennis and Gertrude Wilson.

He is survived by his children, Brandon and Harold Wilson, at home; a daughter, Wanda (Ron), Rodney (Anita), Nova Jr. (Alexa), Christina Dees (Derrik), Chad (Jessica) Hilderbrand, Shelly (G. E.) Leece; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Union Club, Machinist Club and was an avid car collector.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty “Sis” Wilson; a son, Bobby Wilson; a grandson, James Sisler; his mother and father; and several brothers and sisters.

Nova’s family wishes to say a special thank you to Maggie Predmore for always being there for our family.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 E. High St., Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in the funeral home. Pastor Rick Clos will be officiating. Burial will follow in Somerford Cemetery.
