Cynthia Long, 66, of London, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in the Arbors at London.

Born July 7, 1946, in Canton, she was a daughter of Frank and Virginia (Homes) Maffeo.

Cynthia had worked at the University of Arizona in data entry and was also a former data programmer at an Anchorage, Alaska television station before retiring from Sears Credit in Columbus in 2002.

She was an avid Penn State Football fan as well as a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, David L. Long Jr; son and daughter-in-law, Jael and Cheryl Maffeo of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Anitgone and Charly Ibrahim of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, Isabella; sister, Linda Brown of Woodsfield, Ohio; and one niece and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service is being planned.

The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, Ohio.

If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association.
