DORGAN

Edward Dorgan, 73, born July 4, 1939 and died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife, and children at his bedside.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; son, Beau Dorgan; daughter, Mary (Mike) Kavanaugh; grandchildren, Ayden (3) and Emma (8 months); brothers, J. Quinn Dorgan Jr. and John David Dorgan; and a host of caring friends and relatives.

After farming in Madison County for almost 20 years, Ed moved to Arizona in 1986, and began a second career as a respiratory therapist. He was active in his community and church, volunteering with a number of church and civic organizations.

Ed enjoyed reading extensively, fishing with his wife and friends, camping, feeding the birds and squirrels at his Payson, Arizona, home, and especially spending time with his family.

Ed was a man of deep faith. He demonstrated great compassion for those less fortunate than himself, through his acts of charity and love, and his volunteer work in the communities where he lived. He will be sadly missed by the many friends and family who were blessed to have him in their lives.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson.

Donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, P.O. Box 1317, Payson, AZ 85547.
