I don’t know that crime will go up or stay the same. I do believe more people will get away with their crimes with fewer police on duty and likely longer response times to 911 calls and burglar alarms. It is what it is, folks. You get what you pay for. People would rather keep a few hundred dollars more in their pockets and possibly pay it out for higher homeowners’ insurance premiums due to less police and fire protection. My parents taught me to make a choice and be prepared to live with the consequences, good or bad. We’ll see where the cuts to police and fire take us.
Drugs have been running rampant in this town forever, but now its in the hands of young rich suburban kids. I believe parents need to be more active and actually raise your child to rid this community of it’s sickness. And crime will always be increasing but we as a whole have to look out for one another, which intels being nosey sometimes. Stop letting your child tell you what they are doing, whatever happen to asking for permission? Stop giving them money for the DRUGS, be smart people, alert and ask questions.
Crime will go up regardless. This just means that less will be caught. People need to realize that there is a MAJOR problem in this county. Correction, we do realize, but what is the remedy. You think it is bad now, just wait and see how much the crime rate increases. Drugs are on the streets, in the schools, and are ripping familes apart. Herion and prescription drug abuse are at epidemic levels, with no downturn in sight. It is everywhere, in every pocket of our county.
used to live and work in London about 20 years ago. you can`t even compare then to now. i have parents there, so i still know what happens. hope for the best for the residents.
I really hope they figure this out soon!! This town has went downhill fast lately! Drugs and crimes will go way up!! We need more police officers, not less!! The thought alone is enough to make some loose sleep at night!!
