Ralph Adelsberger Jr., 86, of London, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in his residence.
Born July 4, 1926, in Franklin County, he was a son of Ralph Sr. and Nellie (Hunter) Adelsberger.
Ralph started his working career in farming and then became a well known and respected contractor in and around Madison County.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the 82nd Airborne and was also a member of the Madison Memorial Post No. 105, American Legion.
Survivors include his sons, Joe (Deb) Adelsberger of Plain City and Donald (Jeanne) Adelsberger of Cedarville; daughters, Dianne (Paul) Tinker of Plain City, Barbara (Jim) Sanford of London and Carol Bennett of Dublin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Anne) Adelsberger of London and John (Joan) Adelsberger of Marysville; sister-in-law, Nell (Fred) Oyer of London; several nieces and nephews and several special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Adelsberger on Dec. 19, 2011; daughter-in-law, Maureen Adelsberger; son-in-law, Steve Gunning; grandson, Scott Adelsberger; and granddaughter, Tracy Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Pastor Carolyn Peacock will be officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14.
