Renowned psychic Karen Deutsch visited the West Jefferson Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library on Saturday and covered a host of subjects during her program.
As the very first central Ohio casino prepared to open this week, those who visited the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library received a little advice on how to succeed in being lucky and confident when entering a casino.
The library welcomed Karen Deutsch, a well known psychic who travels the country as well as appearing frequently each month on local radio and television. Deutsch opened her program Saturday by sharing the advice she gave local TV viewers last Thursday when visiting the new casino.
“Green is a lucky color,” Deutsch said. “Green comes from the heart energy of the body. Green is the color of loving yourself first and of health and wealth.”
Deutsch advised those who want to gamble to wear the color green and to prepare yourself to go into a casino.
“Get rid of negative energy before you go,” Deutsch said. “Go in with a lot of confidence. Set yourself a budget and stick to it. You should also stick to one particular game. I like blackjack because there is more control with blackjack.
Many people walk in and sit at the first slot machine they see available, right on the end of the isle, and they sit there and they sit there.”
Instead of walking in when it is convenient and sitting for hours at one slot machine, Deutsch advises that you prepare for your gaming visit ahead of time.
“Focus,” Deutsch said. “Love yourself and wear green around your wrists. Get plenty of rest before you go and don’t go in there until around 3 or 4 a.m. At 4 a.m. they bring in a shift change with more experienced personnel. Wear green at your wrists, green on your fingers or wear a green scarf around your neck. If you can’t do that, then wear a green shirt.”
Most people who were at the packed event were not there for gambling advice, but rather for personal advice and information about loved ones, both those alive and those who have passed away. Many brought pictures of their loved ones and Deutsch gave everyone at the event the opportunity to ask one question. She even added an additional hour of her time to give everyone an opportunity to get advice from her.
Deutsch warned people that at an event of this size it is sometimes hard to get the right connection to help an individual.
“Spirits do not tell us when they are going to come in,” Deutsch said. “They typically do not like large crowds. Evening is when spirits tend to come out more.”
She advised for those who were interested in contacting a loved one who have passed on to do so in a quiet way.
“Get a crystal and go to a quiet room in your home in the evening,” Deutsch said. “You hold a crystal in your hand and you have to believe. You must love yourself first. Clear your mind of everything that happened to you that day. I tell people to picture yourself on a wonderful beach, in the sand, and then you can focus. Have a picture of the person you are trying to communicate with. They are on the other side waiting for you.”
Deutsch said she has multiple degrees and she came from the corporate world, where her peers did not embrace her psychic abilities. She also worked extensively with alcohol, drug and mental health agencies. She answered several questions from audience members about loved ones who were currently battling such addictions and not all of the news was good news. She told some that the individual that they asked about still had painful battles to face and urged them to help them to get the help they need.
“That’s what people say I help them with, preparing them for the future,” Deutsch said. “It might not be good news, but I prepare them.”
She told the group that if you have done good things in this life you will be rewarded “on the other side.” However, if someone has not done good things they will still have lessons to learn. They may even come back to this “world” as something else to help them learn the lessons they ignored.
Many people had questions about a spouse, a child or other relative that passed away too early in this life. Deutsch gave them information from “the other side” that let them know their relative was, in many cases, happier than they had ever been. It brought many tears from those who had asked about their loved ones and those who were just listening. Overall she told folks not to worry about loved ones who have passed away.
“They are all fine on the other side,” Deutsch said. “It is heaven for them. They find people they like and things they like to do. There is nothing restraining them now.”
