London to offer trick-or-treat alternative

With Mother Nature threatening to dampen trick-or-treating on Halloween night, the city of London has decided to offer an indoor alternative.
The London Community Center on S. Walnut Street will be open to the public from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Refreshments, treats and activities will be provided for children.
The public is invited to distribute their candy from the warm and dry confines of the Community Center.
“We’re not canceling the trick-or-treat times,” Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Ladd said. “We just want to offer an indoor alternative.”
The London Community Center is located in the gymnasium of the old middle school building.

This is a great idea. I know that all of the kids and parents will apprecited it.
