LINDSEY

Jeanne A. Lindsey, 76, of West Jefferson, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.

She was born Sept. 8, 1936, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Donald and Helen Wilson.

Jeanne was retired from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

She was a member of the West Jefferson Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post No. 7005.

She is survived by husband of 56 years, Maxwell R. “Max” Lindsey; three children, Ande (Chet) Harris, Kirk (Tonia) Lindsey and Douglas Lindsey, all of West Jefferson; granddaughter, Jessica (Trevor) Fortin of South Carolina; grandson, Cody Lindsey of West Jefferson; three great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Ell of West Jefferson; brother, Roger Wilson of Florida; a special niece, Macine Underhill of Unionville Center.

She was preceded in death by parents; a sister, Barbara Whipple; and two brothers, Richard and Donald Wilson.

It was Jeanne’s wish to be cremated. In addition to her wishes, there will be no formal service.
