KITCHEN
Jeff Kitchen, 87, of West Jefferson (Lilly Chapel), went home to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, when he passed away at Doctors Hospital West, Columbus.
He was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Ashland, Kentucky, the son of the late George W. Kitchen Sr. and Elizabeth Wells Kitchen.
Jeff was a master Carpenter and custom home builder and was formerly associated with George S. Frost, Realtor.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Lilly Chapel.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Virginia Kitchen whom he married April 27, 1946; three loving children, Judy Tapp, Jerry (Debbie) Kitchen, all of Lilly Chapel, Joyce Ruff of Columbus; five grandchildren, Amy (Patrick) Bray, Babette (Mike) Hall, Jeffrey (Anita) Kitchen, Jonathan (Sue) Kitchen, Aaron (Lydia) Kitchen; three great grandchildren, Cody, Wayne, and McKenzie Kitchen; two sisters, Virginia Conley of Lilly Chapel and Norma (Bob) Barton, of West Jefferson; brother, George (Jan) Kitchen of Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. Rev. Jesse Blevins will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
