Nanny Marilyn E. Henry, 71, Upper Sandusky and formerly of London, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on May 24, 1941, in London, Ohio, to Elmer and Rose (French) Ramey, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Wallace Henry and he is deceased.
Surviving is a daughter, Stephanie (Charles) Hamilton-Brey of Upper Sandusky; a son, Wallace Dean Henry of London; along with four grandchildren, Brooke (Shane) Doyle, Wallace Matthew Henry, Caleb Baas, Kevin Henry; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Haley, Jason and Lexi. Nanny is also survived by a brother, Russell “Sonny” (Geri) Ramey of Dallas, Texas; and a sister, Sandy (Terry) McCarty of London.
Nanny had worked as a receptionist for her daughter, Stephanie’s Hair Salon and before that she was a cake decorator for Kroger’s in Canal Winchester.
Nanny was of Christian faith having churched in early years at the Church of Christ Christian Union in Newport, Ohio.
For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, listening to the Gaither’s and her favorite color was mint green. She loved her poodle “Smokey” and every morning she enjoyed sitting on her daughter’s porch and drinking her coffee. But most of all what was most important to Nanny was her family, who she loved dearly and the reason for her move to Upper Sandusky was to be nearer to her “grandbabies.”
