HAY

Viola Marie (Miller) Hay, 93, of Hilliard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

She was born March 13, 1919, to Jonas D. and Elmina Leora (Knepp) Miller who greeted her in Heaven along with her husband Willie and grandson Charlie Boy (Fuzzy) Hay. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel, Enos Leroy, Jonas Jr., Levi Jay and John Rudy, and four sisters Cora Ester, Katie Mae Fry, Fannie Mable Mullett and Elmina Louise.

Viola is the mother of, Edward (Patricia) Hay of Milford Center, Valarie (Charlie) Bradley of Marysville, Gary (Tami) Hay of Plain City.

She is also survived by four grandsons, Brian and Brooks Hay, Larry Bradley, Randy Hay; one granddaughter, Amy (Chris) Thompson.

She was also grandmother to, Jason (Tabby) Bradley, Charles W. Bradley, Tami Bradley, Joshua Bradley, Jessie (Tiffany) Bradley; 10 great-grandsons; nine great-granddaughters; two brothers, Sam (Amanda) Miller of Kokomo, Indiana, Larry (Linda) Miller of Plain City; two sisters, Emma (Ed) Miller of London, Mary (Ammon) Yutzy of Plain City; numerous nephews and nieces that were close to her heart.

Viola worked at the Canning Factory where she met her husband Willie Hay, her lifetime companion. She later retired from Ranco where she worked over 30 years and at the Plain City Food Pantry for over 20 years and until the age of 90.

She was a member of the Marysville Freewill Baptist Church and Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday Oct. 5, at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (state Route 161 W.), Plain City. The Celebration of Viola’s Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Marysville Freewill Baptist Church, 280 N. Cherry St. Pastor Paul Bogenrife will be officiating.

The family would like to thank Abbie for her love and care, and Odyssey Hospice for the exceptional services provided to Viola and the family.
