Faye Gifford, 78, of Grayson, Kentucky, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

She was born Aug. 23, 1934, in Carter City, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Hazel Lewis Wooten.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Gifford; one son, Johnny Gifford; two sisters, Anna Louise Brown and Ollie Jane Horton; one half-brother, Hebert Wooten.

Her survivors include one son, Randy Gifford of Newport, Rhode Island; two daughters, Sharon Gore of Mt. Sterling, Ohio and Ruth Brown of Springboro, Ohio; one sister, Clara (Bill) Marcum of Grayson; 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Malone Funeral Home by Grant Sammons, 325 Malone Lane, Grayson, KY 41143; (606) 474-5126. Burial will be in the Dennison Chapel Cemetery outside of Big Plain. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
