Sandra Lee “Sandy” Cox, 60, of Marysville, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.
She was a 24 year employee of Walmart here in Marysville.
She was a member of the AWRA (American Water Racing Association) for many years, breeding but primarily racing dogs. Throughout her time with the AWRA, the other association members became her second family.
Sandy was born March 13, 1952, in London, to Samuel L. and Mary E. Huff Knisley.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Samuel and Martha Knisley.
She was married Oct. 23, 1970, in London, to Regi E. Cox.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Regi; their daughters, Nici L. Reed, Angie L. Cox and her special friend Wylie Seely, all of Marysville; five grandchildren, Jakob and Jarrett Reed, Jordon Cox, Blake and Kaelyn Seely; mother and stepfather, Mary E. and Delmar Bush of London; siblings, Chris (Heather) Knisley, Andrea (Mike) Wolfe, both of Marysville, Jim (Wendy) Knox of Raymond and Melody Bush of London.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, OH 43040, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. The Rev. Paul Whiteford will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
In Sandy’s memory, contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice in care of the funeral home.
