WJYAA going pink Oct. 2-6

The West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association announces it will go pink in October in all fall sports including football, cheerleading, soccer and volleyball.

All parents, participants, players, coaches and referees will go pink especially on Saturday, Oct. 6. This is the second annual event that has been expanded to the soccer and volleyball programs.

Football, cheerleading and soccer players will all go pink on Oct. 6. Volleyball players, coaches will go pink on Tuesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct. 4.

Come out and support our football players, cheerleaders, soccer and volleyball players as they go pink for breast cancer research.

On Oct. 6 there will be various items raffled off. There will be raffle tickets sold in the volleyball games on Oct. 2 and Oct. 4 and all day on Oct. 6 at Converse Park. In addition there will be tons of sweet treats as there will be a huge tent for bake items on sale. One hundred percent of the money raised for this cause will be donated to breast cancer research.

West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association is still accepting donation of items for the raffle. If you have any raffle items and would like to donate or if you would like to help the various football, cheerleaders, soccer and volleyball teams purchase pink items contact Jessica Bare at (614) 395-5248.
