Monday, Aug. 6

Amy V. Beebe, 1491 Geranium Drive, Lewis Center, was northbound on Spring Valley Road in Union Township at 1:12 p.m. in a 2004 Toyota when she failed to stop at the intersection of state Route 665 and collided with a 2006 Chevrolet hatchback driven by Scott E. Gabriel, 8506 Stoutsville Pike, Circleville. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Beebe was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.

Thursday, Aug. 9

Lopez Lopez Maximo, no known address, was southbound on Danville Road in Range Township at 9 p.m. when the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix he was driving veered off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The Pontiac was moderately damaged. Maximo was cited for failure to control his vehicle.

Friday, Aug. 10

Angela M. Behn, 5525 Ebright Road, Groveport, was westbound on Charleston-Chillicothe Road in Range Township at 8:01 p.m. when she lost control of the 1998 Pontiac Firebird she was driving on a curve, striking a 2007 Chevrolet HHR driven by Sarah B. Young, 12775 N. Washington St., South Solon, that was eastbound. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Behn was cited for failure to control her vehicle.

Saturday, Aug. 11

Courtney N. Bethel, 7866 Rockwell Road, Mt. Sterling, was northbound on U.S. Route 62 in the village at 9 p.m. when a deer struck the left side of the 2006 Dodge Charger she was driving. The Dodge was moderately damaged.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Thomas J. Kuhn, 16 Joan Drive, Baden, Ill., was southbound on Interstate 71 in Pleasant Township at 11:33 p.m. when the 2001 Dodge Dakota he was driving veered off the highway, struck a guardrail and flipped over several times. The truck was severely damaged.

Bryce A. Hensley, 1082 Keny Blvd., London, was eastbound on Old Columbus Road in Somerford Township at 4:20 a.m. when he lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet truck and veered off the road, striking a utility pole and fence. The vehicle continued to travel in the ditch for 478 feet before coming to rest. The truck was heavily damaged. Hensley was cited for failure to control his vehicle.

A resident of Correll Maxey Road near London reported at 12:46 a.m. that someone broke into her house through a side window. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident occurred sometime between 3:15 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Aug. 11.

A resident of Arbuckle Road near London reported at 5:45 p.m. that someone vandalized his mailbox. It was the second incident in recent weeks. The vandalism occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 12.

A resident of Big Plain-Circleville Road reported at 11:39 p.m. that someone trespassed onto his property in an apparent theft attempt, but was chased away. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 12.

Monday, Aug. 13

A resident of Chestnut Street in Mt. Sterling reported at 2 p.m. that his son’s bike was missing. The bike became missing sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 13.

A resident of Davis Road reported at 1:08 p.m. that someone removed $2,335 in equipment from his tractor-trailer while the vehicle was parked at Speedway, 720 U.S. Route 42 N.E., London. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 13.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

A resident of state Route 38 near Plain City reported at 6:11 p.m. that someone removed $6,110 in tools and equipment from his unsecured barn. The items disappeared sometime between 8 a.m. on Aug. 9 and Aug. 14.

Amber Lyn Sorrell, 42 E. Lincoln Ave., London, was northbound on state Route 56 in Union Township at 10:05 p.m. when she lost control of the 1998 Pontiac she was driving on a curve at the intersection of Big Plain-Circleville Road and ran into a ditch. The Pontiac was heavily damaged. Sorrell was cited for failure to control her vehicle.

A resident of Thorn Locust Lane near London reported at 9:19 a.m. that someone broke the driver’s side window of her 1993 Buick sedan while it was parked at her home. The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 14.

A resident of Lafayette-Plain City Road reported at 8:45 p.m. that someone damaged his mailbox. The incident occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 14.

Wednesday, Aug. 15

A resident of Roberts Mill Road reported at 10:19 a.m. that someone entered his unlocked barn and removed $4,500 in guns, tools and fishing equipment. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on Aug. 15.

A Markley Road resident reported at 10:45 a.m. that someone ransacked a vehicle that was parked in a storage building on his property. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident occurred between 3 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 15.

Friday, Aug. 17

Dustin A. Ryan, 25, 2390 Chickasaw Drive, London, was arrested at 9:39 p.m. and charged with resisting arrest and being drunk and disorderly, following an incident at the Arrowhead on Oneida Drive in the Choctaw Lake subdivision. Ryan was taken to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Saturday, Aug. 18

Benjamin D. Runyon, 2482 Lubbock Drive, Grove City, was northbound on Kiousville-Palestine Road in Pleasant Township at 2:46 p.m. when he lost control of his 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on a curve and slid off the roadway. The motorcycle was moderately damaged.

Monday, Aug. 20

A resident of North London Street in Mt. Sterling reported at 8:35 a.m. that someone rifled the glovebox of her vehicle while it was parked at her home. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 19 and 8:28 a.m. on Aug. 20.

Thurman L. Dailey, 24143 E. Iron Bridge Road, Marshall, Ill., was northbound on U.S. Route 42 in Darby Township at 10:53 a.m. in a 2009 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig when he rear-ended a 1994 Ford Taurus driven by Helen McKnight, 10 Coachman Drive, Plain City. The rig was lightly damaged. The Taurus was moderately damaged. Dailey was cited for failure to control his vehicle.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

Timothy R. Brintlinger, 365 Kiousville Road, West Jefferson, was northbound on state Route 142 in Jefferson Township at 7:35 a.m. when he swerved his 2006 Honda Civic to avoid striking a truck stopped in the roadway and ran off the road, striking a ditch and a white vinyl fence. The Honda was lightly damaged.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

Chelsea Pritchard, 250 Rosewood Ave., Mt. Sterling, was westbound on Fourth Street in the village at 5:05 p.m. when the 2006 Pontiac she was driving was struck by a 1994 Toyota Camry driven by Caliabe Coy, 24 Fourth St. Coy was backing from an alley at the time of the crash. Both vehicles were lightly damaged.

Saturday, Aug. 25

Marlee Dale Murray, 739 Lindridge Drive, Galloway, was southbound on state Route 38 in Paint Township at 6:55 p.m. when she slowed the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo she was driving for a left turn and was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander driven by Donn L. Raines, 6725 state Route 38 S.E., London, that attempted to pass on the left side. Raines’ vehicle spun off the road into a field. Murray had not signaled prior to the left turn. Murray’s vehicle was lightly damaged. The Uplander was heavily damaged.

Larry W. Fletcher, 131 Mount View, Mt. Sterling, was southbound on North London Street in the village at 2:40 a.m. when he attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control of the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse he was driving and struck a utility pole. The Eclipse was heavily damaged. Fletcher was cited for failure to control his vehicle.
