CLAWSON

Mary E. Clawson, 83, passed away at the Springfield Regional Medical Center Hospital, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.

She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Harry and Chloe Baker Knasel.

Mary was a beautician and a proud farm wife in South Solon and a great cook.

Mrs. Clawson was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clawson Jr. in 2010; and a brother, Harry Knasel Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph III (Cathy) Clawson in Horseshoe Bay, Texas and James (Sandi) Clawson of Jeffersonville; her daughter, Connie Elliott of Columbus; two brothers, Harold (Toyia) Knasel of Springfield and Bob Knasel of Enon; a sister, Patty Diviak of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Donna Knasel of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Tresse McPherson, J.C. Clawson IV, Dan’yl Martin, Dustin Lower, Brittany Allen, Jackie, Jimmy and Jomi Clawson; and nine great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the South Solon Cemetery.
