BURDETTE
Stephen “Steve” Burdette, 62, of South Solon, died at 9:16 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in his residence.
Born Jan. 10, 1948, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was a son of Richard and Jewel (Wagner) Burdette.
Steve was the Manager of Agricultural Finance at JD Equipment in London for the past 30 years.
An avid OSU fan, he was glued to the T.V. every Saturday with a good luck bobblehead ready in case of an emergency.
He enjoyed spending his vacations in Myrtle Beach, Florida, and he also enjoyed fine dining and spending time with his family. He attended the Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington, Ohio.
Survivors are his wife and the love of his life, Sherlyn (Winans) Burdette; daughter, Stacey (Mike) Wachsman of Delaware, Ohio; sons, Brian Burdette and Eric (Tiffney) Burdette, all of Columbus; five stepchildren, Lisa (Zach) Wynn of Stewart, Ohio, Bob (Tessa) Yeater of Merida, Mexico, Anna Yeater of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Christa (Chris) Lowe of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Darrell Yeater of Parkersburg, West Virginia; 13 grandchildren, Emma, Sophia, Abby, Raven, Emmett, Chiara, Seraphim, Allysa, Allison, Ashton, Austin, Eden, and Emma; two sisters, Mary (John) Sprouse of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Jane Burdette of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012. Pastor Kelly McInerney and Brother Bob Yeater will be officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, and one hour prior to the services Thursday.
Online condolences may be sent to Steve’s family at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends Steve has left behind. I was fortunate to know and work with Steve if only for a brief few years at JD Equipment. He will be greatly missed.
