Library offers origami workshop for adults
The London Public Library will be hosting a program titled, “Adult Craft: Origami Workshop” at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
Join members of the Ohio Paper Folders organization as they discuss the art form of origami. Attendees will also be given hands on demonstrations on how to make their own origami. There will also be handouts available for attendees to take home so the practice can continue.
In a recent survey conducted by the library, patrons reported a desire to have more adult craft workshops as part of the library’s programs.
“We have always been looking for creative ways to enhance our adult programming and I think this is a wonderful way,” said Jack Phoenix, Adult Program Coordinator at the library. “This program can appeal to all ages of adults, male or female.”
For those who attend, the library will also be giving away the book, “World’s Best Origami” as a door prize.
The London Public Library is located at 20 E. First St., London, and online at www.mylondonlibrary.org.
