Former LHS football coach visits
Former London head coach Bill Dennis, left, recently brought his current team, the Rittman Indians, to London for a shared football camp experience with London Red Raider football team and coach Jerry Wasserman, right. During the two-day camp, the two teams shared five meals, prepared by the London moms and spent the night at the London Elementary School Gym. On the field, there were two days of seven-on-seven passing scrimmages and the coaching staffs of the two schools led both teams in detailed improvement drills that provided competition and self improvement for both the teams. After the Thursday evening meal, State Representative Bob Hackett, center, spoke to the combined squads about the benefits that football brings to the individual and the long-term benefits of their team training. Hackett related stories from his own football career at Columbia in the Ivy League that emphasized the team concept and personal improvement related to football and hard work. Both teams were attentive to his message. After lunch on noon Friday, the Indians boarded the bus back to Rittman, where the plans call for the Red Raiders to return the visit next year.

Coach D went to Rittman…a true football school. Good job on getting out of that corrupt, poorly run London Highschool. I wish you well.
