Board to hold special election
Those that would like to have a leading role in local conservation issues and natural resource protection have an opportunity. The Madison Soil and Water District (MSWCD) is looking for candidates to run for their Board of Supervisors.
Serving on the board can present one with the opportunity to:
• Be personally involved in the decisions that affect conservation issues in Madison County
• Connect with local communities by participating in Soil and Water educational activities and public events
• Grow as a leader by gaining expertise and ideas from peers in related fields
• Build valuable networks and relationships with fellow board members and organizations.
The Board encourages diversity and is extremely interested in drawing from candidates with a wide variety of professional backgrounds, educational specialties and personalities. The Board is composed of committed members from various sectors in the community who are interested in volunteering their time. Travel expenses incurred are often eligible for reimbursement. The two available board seats would each serve a three-year term and qualifying candidates must reside in Madison County.
