Armed man killed in police-involved OH shooting

GREEN TOWNSHIP (AP) — Authorities in southwest Ohio say police shot and killed an armed man suspected of firing rounds at a woman’s home.

The fatal shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. Friday in Green Township, when police say the suicidal man on a porch pointed a rifle at local police and a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department team. According to a news release from the Sheriff’s office and the Green Township Police Department, an officer shot the man and he died at the scene.

Police say the same man was suspected of firing several rounds hours earlier at a woman’s rear door at an address in Cincinnati. No one was injured.

The man’s name has not been released.

According to police, a search at the Green Township residence netted several firearms and a grenade.
