Viola Meadows, 61, of Columbus, passed away, Sunday, July 1, 2012, in her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 17, 1951, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dick and Edith (Casto) Gillian.

Viola worked as a nurse’s aid for Arbors of London for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Meadows and Chad Watkins of Columbus, Elizabeth (Christopher) Peterson of Columbus and Crystal (Todd) Castle of Plumwood; a son, Ron (Stephanie) Meadows of London; a stepson, Michael Meadows of Jackson; 11 grandchildren, Eugene, Joey, Christopher Jr., Casey, Michael, Danielle, Klista, Dylan, Devon, Colin and Lydia; two brothers, Richard (Eloise) Gillian and Ira Gillian; two sisters, Jane (Fred) Braithwaite and Brenda (Bob) Morris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald E. “Ron” Meadows; and a sister, Janet (Jim) Oyer.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012. Rev. Glade May will be officiating in the funeral home where friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Big Plain Cemetery.
