God will come to the rescue

Everyone of us have had, are having or will have problems in life. I know that’s not too encouraging. But it is the truth.

There are two other truths about having problems. The devil will tell you that you can’t work things out. If your marriage is bad, he will tell you it stinks and you need to file for divorce. If your finances are bad, he will tell you to file for bankruptcy. But there is also another truth and here it is: Any problem you have can be solved by the Word of God and with God’s help. Now…that is good news. In fact, every answer to every question we will ever have is answered in the Bible.

On April 13, 1970, the lunar module, Apollo 13 was orbiting some 20,000 miles from earth, 55 hours into itsr journey. Suddenly, an explosion rocked the spacecraft. The lights went out and so did its oxygen supply. Worse yet, the on-board Co2 filters didn’t operate and the crew had two hours of fresh air to breath.

What were they going to do? Well, fortunately, a lot of brilliant minds went to work and remedied the situation and NASA was able to bring them home safely.

Apollo 13 is a lot like life and life is a lot like Apollo 13.

Many times, we’re sailing along in life with, whistling “Zippidy-doo-Dah” and Mr. Bluebird is on our shoulder.

Then, out of nowhere…a “storm of life” blows in. Your spouse tells you “I want a divorce.” The school calls and says “We found drugs in your child’s locker.” Or the doctor’s office calls with the news, “There’s a spot on one of the X-rays, we need you to come in.”

Then what? Where do you turn to when your world comes crashing in?

Could I suggest that, during those “storms of life” you look to God, the Creator of your life? He made you. He wired you up and put you together and He knows you. He also loves you and wants the best for you.

Why, if God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.He’s there for us and He will help us through any situation.

So the next time you’re going through a difficult time, remember…He’s only a prayer away.

Take your problems to Him and watch Him work it out for you.

Remember, God loves you just like you are, but He loves you too much to leave you like that.”
