JENKINS

Richard L. Jenkins, 66, of London, died Monday, May 28, 2012, in his residence.

Born Oct. 15, 1945, in Springfield, Ohio, he was a son of Robert Lewis and Betty Jean Jenkins.

Richard had served in the U.S. Army, Navy and Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

In August of 2009, he retired from London Correctional Institution after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Patty (Ellis) Jenkins; three sons; five daughters; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Bain of Springfield; brother, Gary Jenkins of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

According to Mr. Jenkins request, neither visitation nor funeral services will be observed.
