FLEMING
Michael E. “Mick” Fleming, 70, of London, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 12: 26 a.m. in the Madison County Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1942, in Madison County, a son of Edward and Marjorie (Cooney) Fleming.
Mick was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Was a member of the London Aerie No. 950 Fraternal Order of Eagles, was a member of the former H.V. Christopher Post No. 1176 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Was retired from the Madison County Engineers Office after 15 years of service.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jenny Fleming of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and Mark Carter of London, Tamara and Chris Portman of London, Amy and James Barton of South Vienna; grandchildren, Kennedy Carter, Casey Fleming and Justin, Tyce and Detrick Portman; sisters, Kathy Ferraro of Tucson, Arizona, Peg Bricker of London, Nancy (Roman) Lapp of Plain City, Linda (Larry) Lott of Columbus, Jerry (Dave) Hollinger of Powell; brother, Bill (Brenda) Fleming of Bellefontaine; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Henderly; and brother, Jim Fleming.
Mick’s family invites friends to gather at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 124 E. High St., London, Ohio, from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Following his request, cremation will follow.
