CLEVENGER SR.
Robert J. Clevenger Sr., 82, of London, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at 2:59 a.m. in the Madison County Hospital.
He was born on May 1, 1929, in Madison County, a son of Robert Virgil and Senia (LeMaster) Clevenger.
Bob was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He was employed by the State of Ohio Department of Corrections for 35 years retiring as Business Administrator; was formerly employed as a driver for Madison County Ride; and was a member of the Beatty Freewill Baptist Church in Springfield.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Steve) Puckett and Lisa Daily, both of London; sons, Robert Clevenger Jr., Mike (Tami) Clevenger and Todd Clevenger, all of London; four grandsons, four granddaughters, one step-granddaughter and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Whitaker of Springfield, Barbara Wood of Columbus; and brother, Harold Clevenger of London.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles and Jay Clevenger; and sisters, Irene Moore, Gladys Calloway and Bernadine Burris.
Bob’s family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 124 E. High St., London, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Reverend Steve Wallace will be officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Township Cemetery.
