HILLSBORO — The Madison-Plains girls basketball team scored a South Central Ohio League road victory Saturday.
“Our kids played hard,” Madison-Plains coach Tobi Briggs said. “It was one of those games where we had to grind it out and make our free throws late.
“Things worked out for us. A win is a win. We’ll take it and try to continue to improve.”
Casey Knisley led the Golden Eagles (10-6, 4-5) with 11 points, while Hayley Faulkner added 10.
Hilliard Bradley 45,
Jonathan Alder 43
HILLIARD — The host Hilliard Bradley girls basketball team outscored Johnathan Alder, 21-4, in the fourth quarter to come away with a two-point victory on Saturday.
Morgan Plummer led the Pioneers (13-3) with 17 points, while Brittany Bakenhaster netted 11.
The loss broke a six-game winning streak for the Alder girls squad.

CLARKSVILLE — The London girls basketball team dropped a South Central Ohio League road game at Clinton-Massie on Saturday.

Eric Roby netted 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Jonathan Alder boys basketball team as the Pioneers netted their 13th victory of the season in as many times out.
Nick Squires netted 15 for the perfect Pioneers, who play five of their next six games on the road.
Alex Randell scored 15 and had eight assists.
Millersport 71,
West Jefferson 62
The visiting Millersport boys basketball team surprised West Jefferson in Mid-State League/Cardinal Division action on Saturday.
The Roughriders led, 48-43, heading into the fourth quarter, only to have the Lakers outscore them, 28-14, the rest of the way.
Cody Williams paced West Jefferson with 22 points, while Ryan Love finished with 13 and Skylar Riggle netted 11.
