Christmas event set in S. Charleston
Christmas in South Charleston will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7.
5-5:30 p.m. — Live Nativity and reading of the Christmas Story at Presbyterian Church.
5:30-6 p.m. — Parade from Journey of Faith Church down to Chillicothe Street to Trupointe.
Nancy Wilson of K99.1 FM is the Grand Marshall.
6-6:30 p.m. — South Charleston Christian Center presents live puppet show (at 16 Chillicothe St.).
6-7:30 p.m. — Outdoor music by American Legion Post at Chillicothe Street Pizza; Houston Library craft activities for children; Children’s Christmas Treasure Hunt at Gilberts.
6-8 p.m. — Santa arrives at South Charleston Opera House to greet children; hay wagon rides for the cost of one non-perishable item of food per person donated to the local food pantry.
6:30-7 p.m. — South Charleston Christian Center Children’s Choir sings Christmas carols (16 Chillicothe St.).
7-8 p.m. — Southeastern High School band and choir perform at the First Presbyterian Church.
8 p.m. — Raffle prize winners announced at Chillicothe Street Pizza.
