Clarence Monroe Frey, 76, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.
He was born June 29, 1935, in Madison County, Ohio, the son of Noah and Jemima (Schlabach) Frey.
Mr. Frey enjoyed fishing and had been employed as a carpenter.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Lori (Jeff) Clos, of Springfield; three grandchildren, Ashley Nicole (Chris) Runnels, Michael Clos and Veronica Clos; brothers, William Edward (Barb) Frey, of Columbus, and Leon Frey, of Patriot, Ohio; sisters, Sara (Jim) Diamond, of Milford Center, Mary (Sam) Herron, of Patriot, and Vera (Bill) Calloway, of Beavercreek; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Frey; brothers, Jonas and Lester Frey; sister, Martha Powers; and his parents.
At Mr. Frey’s request, his remains will be cremated and there will be no services.
