If you need information you ask
We have been on vacation this week. Last Friday we headed out to a wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. Then we headed to Orlando, Florida for a few days. And as I write the article for this week, I am sitting at a desk, in a hotel room, in Buffalo, New York.
It has been quite a week and we have met a lot of different people. Since we didn’t know our way around the different places we visited, many times we would ask someone’s opinion about something. Like, where is the best place to stay, where is the best place to eat, what are the best things to do and different things like that. Because we didn’t know, we had to depend on the information that other people gave us.
So far, we have stayed at some pretty nice hotels. And we have eaten at some pretty good places. Tonight (Oct. 26), we ate at Ted’s Hot Dogs. Now, I’m not much of a hot dog fan, but if you ever get to Buffalo, look them up. They have hot dogs and they have hot dogs and they have hot dogs. Roasted over hot coals and they are great. Ted’s was a recommendation to us.
Got me to thinking. If I was someone who didn’t know what the Bible said about something, I’d either read it for myself so I would know, or…if I wanted the information quickly, I would ask someone who knew.
If you want to know how to get to Heaven, here’s what the Bible says. The Bible says that God loves you. He loves you so much, He allowed His Son, Jesus, to die for you. Jesus died because we are all sinners. The Bible says that if we accept Jesus as our Savior, and receive the free gift of eternal life, we will spend our eternity in Heaven with Him. That is better than any vacation. I hope you will give this your serious consideration this week and make the decision to accept Jesus as your Savior.
Remember, Jesus loves you just like you are, but He loves you too much to leave you like that.
